Bogotá, Colombia-based artist Santiago Riaño focuses on exploring death as a state of transition and permanence. Through matter, memory, and introspective processes, he investigates the threshold between the visible and the invisible, understanding the artwork as a space of communication with what is no longer present, yet insists on remaining.

He works with images printed on unconventional supports as well as materials marked by wear and the passage of time, constructing pieces that function as sensitive archives of the beyond. His work proposes a contemplative experience in which matter becomes witness, mirror, and vestige of existence.
