Biography

1987年、埼玉県生まれ、群馬県育ち。2012年東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科先端芸術表現専攻修士課程修了。自らの身体を模した手縫いのオブジェ、ペインティング、コラージュのほか、それらの作品を用いて細部まで演出を施したセルフポートレイトなど、多彩な作品を制作。

作品制作以外の主なプロジェクトとして、2011年より「ハイヒールプロジェクト」を展開。「選択の自由」を掲げ、特注の義足用ハイヒールを装着し、ステージに立つ。アーティストとしての活動に留まらず、歌手、モデル、講演、執筆など、幅広く活動している。

主な展示に 2019年「第58回ヴェネチア・ビエンナーレ」(ヴェネチア、イタリア)、「Broken Heart」(White Rainbow,ロンドン,イギリス)、2017 年「無垢と経験の写真 日本の新進作家 vol.14」( 東京都写真美術館、東京、日本 )、「帰途-on the way home-」( 群馬県立近代美術館、群馬、日本 )、2016 年「六本木クロッシング 2016 展:僕の身体、あなたの声」( 森美術館、東京、日本 )、2013 年「あいちトリエンナーレ 2013」(納屋橋会場、愛知、日本 )など。主な出版物に2019年「GIFT」United Vagabondsがある。

2005年群馬青年ビエンナーレ奨励賞。2019年第35回写真の町東川賞新人作家賞。2020年第45回木村伊兵衛写真賞を受賞。
